Applin and Dynamax Entei to Debut in Pokémon Go This Month

Get ready for a delightful and fiery month in Pokémon Go as two Galar region Pokémon make their debut! Whether you're drawn to the adorable or the mighty, the Sweet Discoveries event from April 24th to 29th and the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th-27th have something for everyone.

The Sweet Discoveries event introduces the snack-sized Dragon/Grass-type Applin. To catch one is just the start of your journey—evolving Applin requires 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve into Flapple, or Sweet Apples for Appletun. These apples can be found randomly in the wild, particularly near Mossy Lures, and may even trigger Applin encounters.

During this event, you'll encounter wild spawns like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and the ever-delightful Delibird. Field Research and Eggs offer additional opportunities to catch themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Don't miss out on the Timed Research, which provides both free and paid options. The paid version offers extra Mossy Lure Modules and more chances to encounter Applin, along with Sweet and Tart Apples.

While you're at it, check out the Applin Headband and Apron available in the shop, and keep an eye on PokéStop Showcases featuring themed Pokémon. But if you're more into raw power, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th-27th, when Dynamax Entei makes its grand entrance.
