Albion Online Sets Abyssal Depths Update Date

Albion Online Announces Abyssal Depths Expansion Launching June 30th

The developers have officially revealed that Albion Online's next major expansion, Abyssal Depths, will launch on Android devices on June 30th. This subterranean-themed update introduces intense PvP encounters and fiery new mounts.

What Awaits Adventurers?

The expansion focuses on the Depths - challenging extraction-style dungeons designed for 2-3 player teams. These compact battlegrounds feature high-stakes PvP combat with reduced risk, as the new Orange PvP rules protect your equipped gear upon death.

This innovative system lowers the barrier for PvP participation by ensuring players only lose carried loot rather than their hard-earned equipment. During Depths encounters, warriors battle both demonic foes and rival players while collecting Souls. The climax sees participants competing for a locked vault's treasures before the dungeon's inevitable collapse.

The update establishes a new gameplay loop centered around the Antiquarian's Den hub. This underground nexus connects directly to Depths runs, Corrupted Dungeons, and Hellgates, with convenient access points across Royal Cities and Caerleon. Quality-of-life improvements include accelerated matchmaking and a nearby banking station.

The mysterious Antiquarian character monitors player progression in these infernal regions through the Antiquarian Standing system. Gain recognition by actively participating in Depths expeditions and related content.

Rewards include sinister cosmetic options like demon-themed avatar frames and Demon Cape crests spanning Tiers 4-8. Players can also acquire two exclusive arachnid mounts: the Hellspinner and Soulspinner.

Prepare for Descent

The expansion debuts two powerful Crystal Weapons: Truebolt Hammer electrifies foes while shielding allies, and Stillgaze Staff enables shapeshifting into a crystalline serpent.
