The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales makes its debut on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, as announced during the July 31, 2025 Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. Following the presentation, a playable demo became immediately available via the Nintendo eShop.
This HD-2D action-RPG from Square Enix (creators of Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default) follows protagonist Elliot across the monster-infested continent of Philabieldia. Humanity's last hope lies in the fortified Kingdom of Huther, protected by the ancient Spell of Safekeeping.
The adventure begins when mysterious ruins are uncovered beyond the kingdom walls. Elliot, accompanied by his fairy partner Faie, embarks on an extraordinary journey spanning a thousand years through time travel mechanics.
Players can master seven distinct weapon types and enhance abilities with equippable Magicite. Faie serves as both companion and combat ally, with the game supporting two-player cooperative play where each character can be controlled independently.
