"Among Us 3D Release Date Announced, Distinct from VR Version"

Coming May 6

Schell Games and Innersloth, the developer and publisher behind Among Us 3D, have set the game's release date for May 6, 2025. This announcement was made via the official Among Us 3D Twitter (X) account on April 16.

Originally known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to provide a more expansive experience, including cross-play multiplayer. This week, the developers introduced a new currency called Stardust, which does not expire and offers players greater flexibility in their in-game purchases.

Among Us 3D will feature a permanent Tag Mode with an Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, new and returning mini-games, and a variety of new cosmetics.

It's important to note that Among Us 3D is distinct from the Among Us VR released in 2022. According to the FAQs on Schell Games' website, Among Us 3D is a completely different game. The developers stated, "Separating the versions during this development allowed/allows us to continue to bring quality updates to our Among Us VR beans while ensuring the highest quality and tailored experience for our new PC players."

Wishlist Campaign

You can now add Among Us 3D to your wishlist on Steam, and by doing so, participate in the Powered By Wishlists Challenge. This campaign offers in-game rewards at various milestones:

• 333,333 Wishlists - A new hat
• 444,444 Wishlists - Another new hat
• 555,555 Wishlists - A cosmetic surprise
• 777,777 Wishlists - Suspiciously new exciting cosmetic(s)

While the rewards for the final two milestones are yet to be detailed, fans can look forward to some epic loot to kickstart their journey as crewmates. Among Us 3D is scheduled for release on PC on May 6, 2025.
