The nominees for the prestigious 2025 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards have been announced. Often called the Oscars of comics, these awards celebrate the most outstanding works published in the past year.
Fantagraphics leads with 24 nominations (plus 1 shared), followed by DC Comics with 10 nominations (plus 9 shared). Wonder Woman writer Tom King tops the individual creator list with 4 nominations, while several others earned 3 nominations each.
Notably, former IGN Comics editor Joey Esposito received a Best New Series nomination for The Pedestrian (with Sean Von Gorman), competing against titles like Absolute Batman and The Power Fantasy.
The winners will be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25 during a ceremony at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront Hotel. Here's the complete nomination list:
