Dive into the classic Tri Peaks solitaire card game, also known as Three Peaks, Tri Towers, or Triple Peaks. This engaging solitaire variant uses a single deck of cards, challenging players to clear three distinct peaks constructed from the cards themselves.
The game begins with an exciting setup: eighteen cards are dealt face-down to create three pyramids, each composed of three overlapping tiers. On top of these pyramids, you'll find ten cards placed face-up, setting the stage for your strategic moves. The rest of the deck, consisting of twenty-four cards, forms the stock. The first card of the stock is turned over to start the waste pile.
To progress in the game, you'll need to move cards from the tableau to the waste pile. A card can be moved if its rank is either one higher or one lower than the top card of the waste pile, irrespective of the suit. This creates a dynamic sequence (e.g., 7-8-9-10-9-10-J-10-9-8, etc.) that continues until you can no longer make a move. As you clear cards, any face-down cards that are no longer covered are flipped face-up, revealing new opportunities to continue your sequence.

It’s a nice way to kill time with the Tri Peaks setup. The gameplay is smooth but sometimes feels a bit repetitive after a while. I wish there were more variations or power-ups to keep it fresh. Still, it’s a solid classic card game. 😊
