These sets can also target your past mistakes, allowing you to refine your skills by repeating problems until mastered. Moreover, the spaced repetition learning algorithm ensures you prioritize problems you struggle with, enhancing your learning efficiency. While custom sets are utilized within the app, they must be initially created on the Chesstempo.com website.

PLAY ONLINE

Engage in thrilling chess matches against other Chesstempo users. Whether you prefer the immediacy of live games or the strategic depth of correspondence chess, the app supports both formats. After each rated game, receive a detailed post-game analysis powered by our cluster of hundreds of Stockfish instances. This analysis delivers high-quality insights in mere seconds. Premium members can further leverage this feature by having tactics problems extracted from their rated games, which can then be solved within the tactics training interface using advanced custom sets.

OPENING TRAINING

Master your chess openings with the ability to create multiple repertoires for both black and white. Import these from PGN files or by directly inputting moves on the board. Use spaced repetition to train your repertoires effectively, with options to limit training to specific branches, individual repertoires, or all repertoires of a single color. You can also focus on moves that prove challenging in your learning process. Enrich your training with the ability to comment on positions or moves, view public comments from others, and add engine evaluations or annotations to each move. Export your repertoires, complete with your comments and annotations, to PGN format. Track your progress with graphs displaying your learning status and history over time. Utilize the opening explorer to select moves for your repertoire (free members are limited to a depth of 10 moves). Premium members gain access to cloud engine analysis on any position within their repertoire.

ENDGAME TRAINING

Sharpen your endgame skills with practice from real game positions ranging from 3 to 7 pieces, with over 14,000 unique scenarios to explore. Free members can access 2 positions per day, while premium members unlock additional positions and the ability to create custom sets. These sets can target specific endgame types, focus on positions you frequently get wrong, or employ spaced repetition for optimal learning. Note that some custom set types must be created on the Chesstempo website before they can be used on the app.
