How to play Batak trump spades.
Number of Players: 4.
The game uses a standard 52-card deck. Each player receives 13 cards. All spades are designated as trump cards.
In swamp trump spades, only spades are considered trump.
The goal is to predict how many tricks you will take before the round begins and then try to win at least that many.
Starting with the player to the dealer's right, everyone states how many tricks they expect to take, and this is recorded on the scoreboard.
Gameplay:
If no card has been played to the table, the next player leads any card. If a card is already on the table, they must follow suit if possible.
If unable to follow suit, a player may play a trump card; otherwise, any card can be discarded.
Scoring:
After each round, scores are calculated based on the number of tricks each player committed to at the start versus the number actually won.
If a player wins their committed number of tricks or more:
Score = 10 × Committed tricks + (Tricks won - Committed tricks).
If a player wins fewer tricks than committed:
Score = -10 × Committed tricks.
If a player bids zero tricks at the round's start:
They earn +50 points for winning no tricks, or -50 points if they win any trick.
Settling occurs when you fail to meet your bid at the end of the game.
