The "Guardians of the Road" initiative has been revitalized with a redesigned app, boasting a streamlined and enhanced user experience.
Become a Road Guardian and help save lives!
Launched in 2016, the "Guardians of the Road – Our Shared Road" project aims to raise awareness and deter unsafe driving practices. Since January 1st, 2023, the project has been managed by the "Safe Path" association.
Anyone over 18 can download the "Road Guards" app and begin documenting traffic violations.
Using the app is simple and quick. Activate the app before driving, and when you witness a violation, initiate the reporting function. Reporting can be triggered via voice command or by pressing a Bluetooth button on your steering wheel. The app will automatically begin recording video and audio details of the infraction.
These recordings are sent to a control center staffed by experienced volunteer monitors. Following review, a "letter on the way" is sent to the driver, including a link to the recorded evidence. In cases involving serious safety risks, reports are forwarded directly to law enforcement.
